Ingredients (serves 4):

200g dark chocolate
200g butter
200g sugar
5 eggs
Icing sugar –for dusting

Flourless Chocolate Fondant Cake


Method

Preheat oven to 180˚C.

Grease 25cm sandwich tin.

Melt chocolate in a bowl over pot of simmering water.

When chocolate has melted add butter.

Allow to butter to melt into chocolate.

Add sugar mix well together.

Add eggs and mix well.

Pour into sandwich tin and bake for 25- 30 min.

To serve

When done allow cake to cool then dust with icing sugar.

Options

Make a glaze for the cake by melting equal amounts of 200g of chocolate and 200g of butter.

Then add 4 tbsp of cold water cold water. If using glaze do not use icing sugar.
